Michael Jones is President of The Maritime Alliance (TMA) and TMA Foundation (TMAF). TMA is a non-profit industry association – organizer of the San Diego maritime technology community (the largest US BlueTech cluster). It focuses on Economic Development, Ecosystem Development, and National/International Outreach. TMAF is an educational non-profit that focuses on Workforce Development, Research, and Community Outreach. Together they promote sustainable, science-based ocean industries. Michael has been appointed a non-resident Senior Fellow for 2015-16 at The Foreign Policy Institute, Johns Hopkins University “School of Advanced International Studies” (SAIS) in Washington, DC to focus on the oceans and growing global Blue Economy.
