Genie Bopp

Genie-BoppGenie Bopp, Vice President Wyle Science, Technology and Engineering, is the Director of Collaboration for the Human Health and Performance Contract at the NASA Johnson Space Center.

She began at NASA JSC in 1987 in the Space Station Science Office, planning the Space Station Freedom experimental laboratory complement of hardware and analytical capabilities as well as the crew health care requirements. She has worked in management positions since 1994 in multiple areas including: the Flight Experiments Mission Manager for biomedical experiments on Shuttle, Medical Sciences Flight Projects, Extended Duration Orbiter Medical Project, Space Medicine Department and Innovation and Integration. She is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and the University of Houston Executive Development Program. She is a certified Kepner Tregoe Project Management Instructor and has taught Project Management to Wyle and Aerospace team members since 2003.

Genie has served as the President of the Space Medicine Association, the Chair of the Aerospace Medicine Associate Fellows, the co-chair of the AsMA history committee and the AsMA council for 6 years. In 2011, she was elected Fellow of the Aerospace Medicine Association. She currently serves on the AsMA History Committee, the Board of the AsMA Foundation and the Scientific Program Committee.

She also chairs the Board of Directors for the Technology Collaboration Center of Houston and is on the Advisory Council for SpaceCom.
